Our 6-week guided group Transformation program is an opportunity to make a reset in your diet and lifestyle with the help and support of us! Dr. Sarica Cernohous, L.Ac. has made nutrition her career and way of life, helping countless people through these challenging changes. She is also an instructor of Nutrition for the Health and Human Performance master’s program at Pacific College of Health and Science and is the Northern Arizona chapter leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation. She is the author of the importance and practical application of traditional food preparation techniques, The Funky Kitchen. Dr. Sarica will be teaching the 3rd class on how to properly prepare your grains and why it is so important for digestive health. Natalie Hewitt will be teaching the first two classes. She has gone through the Transformation program a few times herself and has been studying under Dr. Michelle Menzel, the creator and author of the The Transformation: 48 Days to Eating and Living Naturally for Life (the required textbook for the program). The 3 Phases of Transformation: Phase 1: Elimination - Days 1-15 Purpose: stabilize insulin and blood sugar, reduce inflammation, reduce infection, enhance digestion, and help balance hormones. Phase 2: Transformation - Days 16-30 Purpose: maintain balance and continue to eliminate. After this stage, your body will have eliminated years or accumulated waste as well as rejuvenate your entire system. Phase 3: Lifestyle - Days 31-48 Purpose: prepares you for how to eat for life and adds back acceptable foods in moderation. Dr. Sarica will be teaching you on how to properly prepare foods by soaking, fermenting, and sprouting so that you will be able to eat grains in a way that creates health and absorbs the nutrients from the grains rather than creating leaky gut and inflammation in the body. We now have both in-person (below) and online (above) options so you can proceed in whatever way best fits your unique needs.
