Acupuncture- Tiny, sterile, disposable needles are inserted into acupuncture points, chosen based on the patient's Chinese Medical diagnosis.
Herbal Medicine- Chinese herbal medicine draws upon hundreds of herbs to combine into a customized herbal formula that is unique to each patient depending on their Chinese Medical diagnosis and their individual constitution. These formulas can be made to take internally as well as topically for external skin problems.
Moxibustion ("Moxa")- Mugwort leaves are used in a variety of different ways to help achieve balance within the body. Moxa can be safely applied directly to the skin or indirectly used by placing on a needle, herb, or used in a stick or "moxa box" close to the body.
Cupping- Sterilized glass cups used to create a vacuum to increase blood flow, circulation, healing, and tissue regeneration.
Shonishin- Handmade Japanese tools used on babies and children to stimulate acupuncture points and meridians in order to treat without using needles. This modality of treatment can also be used on adults who have fear of needles.
Nutritional Consultations- Dr. Sarica Cernohous offers nutritional & lifestyle consultations to find out which foods and lifestyle habits you can use to support, rebuild, and harmonize the body for your individual constitution. One of the tools that she uses to help her assess each individual is western blood lab panels. She also offers support through the Metabolic Balance program. Electro-acupuncture ("E-Stim")- The application of a gentle, safe pulsating electrical current to acupuncture needles as a means of stimulating the acupuncture points.

*On your initial visit, many in-depth questions are asked as this will ensure that your Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnosis is accurate and your treatments highly effective. You also receive an individualized treatment plan with an initial consultation that includes information on your TCM diagnosis and what you can do at home to harmonize any imbalance in your body.
We understand there are many unpredictable circumstances in life, and we also understand that our level of commitment to the treatment process is key to achieve best results. Feel free to reschedule any appointment online or by calling the clinic prior to 24 hours before your appointment. However, any cancellation within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will result in a cancellation fee of $60. If you do not show up to your scheduled appointment and do not let us know, you will be charged the full price of the treatment. If you have 3 no-shows, you will not be able to reschedule at our clinic. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Some insurance companies have acupuncture benefits. We accept most insurances that have acupuncture benefits and we can call to check eligibility if you are unsure of your benefits. We also submit all insurance claims for you- both in and out of network claims! Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are also possible options. Cash, checks, and all major credit cards are accepted.
